„"I'm actually quite different, but I so rarely get the chance to show it."“
(Ödön von Horváth)
A church in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
A triptych altarpiece in which a different kind of Toy Story takes place.
The world's most famous table explodes after a coin is inserted in a peep-show booth, spewing out white goo, weapons, pregnant matryoshka dolls, and Christian symbols. A wooden cross with a roadway, on which three classic cars support a flat Earth. A cruise ship emits dollar bills and blackens the sky while "God So Close to You" plays. Crazy? Just what people around the world do in the name of their fathers.
PS Not to forget: a world premiere involving a yellow plastic banana.
Trust that it will be alright.
The pop-up exhibition THE ROOM OF UNEASE The performance in the Galilee Church in Berlin-Friedrichshain is the smaller, non-interactive sister of the premiere of the same name, which took place in an old slaughterhouse in Pforzheim in 2024.
