Fabiana Striffler She combines technical mastery with raw emotional depth. She sings while playing her violin. But instead of using her voice solely for traditional singing, she treats it as an additional instrument, exploring extended vocal techniques, improvisation, and experimental sounds.
Her violin playing ranges from delicate, lyrical melodies to intense, avant-garde sound textures. She performs in her native language. In her songs, she lovingly plucks apart moments of everyday life. These performances create an intimate connection between stage and audience—a direct, deeply felt experience that lingers long after the last note.
Fabiana Striffler is a very talented violinist who plays directly from her heart. Her beautiful sound is a reflection of herself. Fabiana possesses a unique balance of keen intuition and intellect that allows her to create pure music, no matter what creative situation she finds herself in. Marja Burchard - Vibraphone, piano & voice
Marja was born in Munich in 1985 and grew up in the musical world of her father Christian Burchard, founder and bandleader of the music group Embryo, which was founded in 1969.
The multi-instrumentalist is deeply engaged with diverse sounds and sound textures. This evening, she tells us improvised stories on the piano and vibraphone. She leads us into ambient soundscapes with synthesizer, percussion, and voice, culminating in interwoven textures and fragmented patterns. It may escalate, but it doesn't have to.
Through music and various theatre projects, Marja Burchard travelled to many countries such as Mali, Senegal, Romania, Hungary, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Japan, China, Sri Lanka, Russia, Morocco, Brazil, etc. In 2016 she took over the management of her father's music group Embryo, with which she still tours international festivals.
