In her first concert in almost seven years – the last one was held before the pandemic in 2019 at Berlin's Volksbühne – Gemma brings an intimate solo performance to the atmospheric Galilee Church, featuring a selection of songs from her ten-album repertoire.
An unconventional singer and guitarist whose cinematically inspired, idiosyncratic blues and psychedelic pop-noir have been praised by artists such as Jimmy Page and Kris Kristofferson, Gemma's career has included collaborations with Sparks, Alan Vega, Wim Wenders, members of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and the Babelsberg Film Orchestra. Her music has been used in several films and series, including Russian Doll, The Purge and The Killing.
Since her last concert, Gemma has raised two children, an electronic collaborative project called “Gemma Ray & The Death Bell Gang” and produced albums for other artists.
