Over the years, she has ventured through numerous musical realms: Post-Punk-Industrial, Electronic Music, experimental Guitar works, and lush orchestral soundscapes. With the re-release of her early albums, this distinctive film by Dietmar Post offers an in-depth opportunity for Mona Mur to reflect and comment on her journey as a musician, composer, and producer—from an intimately personal perspective. The documentary adopts an approach of “committed remembrance,” focusing on sources of inspiration and the situations that shaped her career.

For the first time live in her new Trio line-up, Mona Mur presents Les Chansons Brutales: a dazzling, dark-blue live experience featuring unreleased special versions of songs from her acclaimed orchestral work WARSAW and her solo albums DELINQUENT and LES CHANSONS BRUTALES, with exclusive lyrics by “Radical Eye” poet Miron Zownir. Alongside the virtuosic piano of Johannes Roloff and the masterful guitar of Gary Schmalzl, the trio crafts a sound that is romantic and cinematic, painting moments that are “as cruel as life, as tender as the night.”
