Nilgün Özer is a multidisciplinary artist from Turkey living in Berlin. Her current project, Broken Patterns, combines experimental folk with acoustic and electronic elements, reflecting on daily routines, memories, and social unrest. In addition to her 13-track album, she created a seven-part mixed-media painting series, a conceptual booklet, and performance clothing. Each element of the project interacts, forming an evolving ecosystem in which sound, image, and space deepen the narrative.
In her experimental work, Hans Kadensia blends two artistic avenues: the cello and composition. She captures and transforms sounds from nature and the everyday world, transforming them into multi-layered soundtracks.
The live cello plays a central role and is processed in real time to interact with the tape. This dynamic interplay shapes her musical discourse and reinforces her message: to take hold of the inaudible, to reveal the hidden layers of sound, and to awaken a new sensitivity to the world around us. She invites her audience into a listening experience that is at times contemplative, at times abrupt, but always profound.
