Actions + Performances by

  • VIBRAKU: Ira Hadžić and Tarufu
  • DORA BLEU & CEDRIK FERMONT
  • M GLASS + U MOELLHUSEN

< vibrakū >

Is a duo formed by Ira Hadžić and Tarufu, whose name combines "vibration" and kuu (emptiness). Their performance, inspired by Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Mikrophonie I, features gong and bone conduction, exploring the subtle textures, vibrations, and spatial qualities of sound.

Through close amplification and the physical resonance of their instruments, they create immersive environments that invite the audience to shift from passive hearing to active sensing—experiencing sound as a tangible presence. The duo explores the boundaries between form and formlessness, engaging with the architectural space that both shapes and is shaped by sound.

Bio:

TARAFU
Is a Japanese musician. His sound style seeks a way to dissolve the conventional concept of time by playing various objects with bone conductors and small speakers.

IRA Hadžić
Is a sound artist whose musical practice moves along the boundary between improvisation, composition, and introspection. She works with gongs, radiophonic pieces, field recordings, voices, resonances, simple sonic gestures, and silence as an expressive form in its own right.

DORA BLEU & CEDRIK FERMONT

Create dreamlike atmospheres that explore imperialized psychic struggles against reproducing colonial realities. Together with Periklis Tsoukalas, their trio has recently released an emotionally intense being of sound, tone, noise, music and voice on the Syrphe label.

DORA has worked with a variety of musicians such as Sam Shalabi and Marc Ribot, and has been performing and touring for over 20 years.

CEDRIK FERMONT (also known as C-drík Fermont or Kirdec) is a former student of electro-acoustic composer Annette Vande Gorne (Royal Conservatory of Mons, Belgium). In 2017, he was co-awarded the prestigious Golden Nica Prix Ars Electronica in digital musics and sound art.

GLASS - MOELLHUSEN

"First time" collaboration.
An expansive sound action with objects, motors, body, movements, and feedbacks.

MAXIMILIAN GLASS
Sound artist. Works in the fields of experimental and (electro-)acoustic music, creating sound installations, performances, and site-specific interactions. His practice is shaped by free improvisation and chance, using mechanical systems, feedback devices, objects, and snare drum to explore tactile sound processes and spatial listening.

U MOELLHUSEN
A visual-, sound- and action-artist, composer, and besides organizer of exhibitions and performance festivals. He is currently working on the interrelation of cognition – action – sound, or physical action as a compositional impulse for a sound event.

He performs exclusively with misappropriated objects/material found on the street and calls it “poor music”.
He refuses to perfect his music: "Mastery is the direct path to normality".
It is an escape from the prison of repetition into the vastness of irregularity and dirt.
The impulse that emanates from the unexpected is his stimulus.
