Description of the event: Chorlibri is a
A community-based women's choir from Berlin, founded in 2022 as part of a mentorship program and led by Naile Gülgen Tuncer ever since. The choir sees itself as a safe space and empowerment space, where musical practice is combined with cultural and social education.
The choir includes women of different ages and diverse life experiences, including BIPoC, white, and migrant perspectives. This diversity shapes their shared sound and artistic work.
Chorlibri stands for collective singing, cultural participation, and creative self-empowerment through music. Stylistically, Chorlibri works in the realm of contemporary pop and soul music, globally inspired sound traditions, as well as its own arrangements and compositions.
